THE PRODUCTS
Equilibria Botanica’s mission is to deliver safe, effective, gentle and expertly formulated skincare options to provide a naturally beautiful and pleasing experience without the use of synthetic preservatives, additives and unnecessary fillers.
- Each and every product is free of petroleum, parabens, sulfates, silicone, synthetic fragrance, artificial color and chemical preservatives
- All product formulations are researched, created and tested with great care by me personally – never outsourced or repackaged
- Handcrafted and made in small batch to ensure absolute & rigorous control of quality and efficacy
- Ingredients are intentionally and consciously selected for their beneficial & complementary qualities
- All botanicals used in Equilibria Botanica products are wildcrafted, certified organic, or grown using chemical-free, sustainable cultivation practices
THE SCIENTIST
As a youth who gravitated to the outdoors, I began my love journey into herbalism and holistic health 30 years ago when I crafted my first tincture from the Echinacea growing in the family garden. I studied botanicals and sustainability while earning a degree in Environmental Science and refined my expertise in formulations with a Ph.D. in Chemistry. I have worked both publicly and privately in activities ranging from habitat protection, to new product formulation, to bio-based consumer alternatives. This amalgamation of experience, formal education, and comprehensive study of traditional medicinals, wildcrafting, aromatherapy & botanical perfumery has transformed dream into reality with the culmination of Equilibria Botanica.
All products are created in the Equilibria Botanica formulation studio, a dedicated space nestled in the mountains near Brevard, NC. Most products contain functional botanicals grown in the Equilibria Botanica garden or consciously wildcrafted in thriving spaces able to support harvest. This rigor enables me to deliver a truly natural, holistic set of skin and self-care options which embody the values of purity, sustainability, efficacy, and honesty. These are the pillars of my own personal definition of balance.
